Dwight, and I have known each other for many years, yet neither of us knew of the others secret love of poetry until this past year or so. It wasn't until I started showing him some of my poems that he began to share his works with me. Two men who for much of their lives were to afraid of what others would think of them if they knew they loved poetry, and liked writing poems themselves. When he showed me that first poem I knew he was a true poet, and I have done all in my power to encourage him to keep writing. He is I believe a far better poet than he himself might think, and far better than myself I know. How wonderful it is that age has finally allowed two old friends to find a whole new common interest. Now that we no longer hide the poet within each of us, we are even better friends than before. Not all that age brings is unwelcome it would seem.
Thanks
Dwight, for sharing with all of us.
William's
World is proud to have your works here.
