This is
where I will be posting the poems of Poets' who have sent me their works.
Not all poems received will be posted, as space is limited for this page,
the poems you find here are the ones that I feel say the things we all
need to hear. The kind of things that make us laugh, and the things that
make us cry. The things that help us through the hard times in life, and
the things that make us think about the real meaning of life. William's
World is not just about William, it is about sharing with others, and having
them share with all of us.
It is about change, and sometimes
what others have to say can change the way we see things forever.

I came from the era when love was generated in the heart and mind without
I came from the era when people knew who they were and where they were
I
came from the era when mothers, fathers, teachers & friends instilled
in
your mind and heart, values, love, responsibility and respect.
These
things
were given me as a child, not as an adult in the circle of
a hotel
conference
room.
I
came from the era when once you were grown, you did not need lectures,
word
games, exercises and other gimmicks to demonstrate your love for your
fellow
man.
I came from the era when a man was charged with the responsibility of
providing
for the food, clothing, shelter and love of his wife and children.
I came from an era long since vanished. Where material things were
secondary,
where bonding was made through love, where you gave thanks for
what
you had and did not need to find yourself to know who you really were.
I
came from an era where hearts were true, the mind was clear and not
clouded
by the persuasions of others who knew you only by the name on a
roster.
I
came from an era when we were high on life, knot on a weed inhaled
into
the bloodstream. We danced on clouds of love not on clouds of smoke.
I
cam from an era where I lived, laughed, loved and was happy just to be
me,
not to be one made over to fit an image desired by others.
This
era has ended with injustice, with artificial and man made desires,
with
cold love derived from a class room, with empty words absorbed by a
naive
brain looking for something better that we shall never find.
We
now spend our money, donate our time, to listen to the words of the
proclaimed
wise, but these things are all in vain, as we still remain
fools.
Therefore, look to your heart, feel your emotions, pour out your love
on
others, share your good and bad, If you do these things, no matter where
you
go or what you do, you will be loved and no man can ask for more.

Can
you remember times long ago,
40 or 50 years or so?
Remember what your mother was like,
Scrubbing clothes in the morning light?
Carrying water from a pump in the yard,
Frying food in pure lard.
Living without electricity,
Because it was considered a luxury.
Never having a telephone,
Or having a bathroom in her home.
Using furniture that was second hand,
Hoeing a garden in dry parched land.
Living in a house where the wind blew thru,
Never having money for anything new,
Cooking meals on a stove burning coal,
Making a young woman look very old.
Giving her children all of her love,
Keeping faith in God above,
Doing the things that mothers do,
Never asking anything from you.
That was times long ago,
40 or 50 years or so.

(For My Mother "Lucille C. Harris)
When Our Hands Touched.
The Day we met, right
then I knew,
I wanted to spend my
whole life with you
Then our hands touched
and we looked into each others eyes
we just couldn't bring ourselves
to tell each other goodbye
Our hands touched and we just
couldn't let go
So when you ask me
to marry you, how could I say no
We were so happy our
lives was full of Love and Laughter
But then just one short
year After,
Our hands touched as we looked
into each others tear filled eyes
The Doctor told us,
it wouldn't be long, and you were going to Die
I cried so hard as our hands
touched, I was so very sad
To know I would be
losing my best Friend and Love that I have ever had
Our hands touched as you lay
dying and I looked into your eyes
But you couldn't look
back in mine
My tears fell like
rain that day, for as our hands touched
I had to say Good Bye
for the first and last time
I miss you so very much Hollis
From Your Wife, Carolyn
By Carolyn (Oswald) Savage
She said, Grandma, where is
heaven? is it very far away?
I heard Mommy and Daddy saying
you are going there someday!
Can I walk there to see you
when you get all moved in,
and when I come to see you,
may I please bring a friend.
Will you still bake me some
cookies and brush my hair?
Will you read me my stories
as we sit in your rocking chair.
Oh Grandma, How far away
is
heaven, if its far, please don't go
Because I want to be with
you everyday, and I'd miss you so
Grandma said, When I go to
heaven,Ii'll be watching you from afar,
You go out at night, look
up at the sky, I'll be sitting on a star!
Always remember, even though
you and I may have to part
Grandma will always and forever,
be with you in your heart.
For Starlae

Here’s
a little story
Wrote
for you & me,
About
things impossible
Of
things we do not see
Of things
we dream in daydreams
Of
places we’ve never been
Of
all the things we want to do
When
our ship comes in
Just
like a bolt of lighting
That
flashes thru the soul
Or
like a roaring thunder
That
makes the heart grow cold
The
things you think can’t be done
Are
in your very grasp
If
you’ll recall your teachings
And
all your questions ask
If you’ll
believe upon yourself
And
emotions overcome
All
the things you’d like to do
Will
finally all be done
You
can do all those things
And
many many more
Your
like a space ship launched from earth
That
thru the solar soars
There’s
nothing that’s impossible
If
you will just believe
keep
a faith within your soul
With
a open mind receive
Take
a look around you
At
what others may have done
And
you will find it’s not so hard
To
have a victory won
No matter
what your dreams may be
If
you do your very best
You
will attain all your goals
And
settle for nothing less
All
the things you want to do
Can
become reality
If
you never forget who you are
And
use your ability

Such curiosity from a child
Inquiring mind,unbound
To thirst to know the meaning
of...
To take note of each sound
Inquisitor,examinor
Spectator for the truth
A hunger for the prying eye
Their thoughts,know not aloof!
You'd better tender all they
thirst
However proud the daunt
Interceptor,listener
They shall return to haunt

I have been loved and I have
loved. I have found love and lost love.
I have been fooled by love.
I have loved others who did
not even love there self.
I have been in love and I
have been out of love.
The thing that hurts the
most in being out of love is losing the one person that was your world
your heart and your soul.
It is better to love and
lose than to never have loved at all.
I am great full that I have
had a chance to love.
Without love there is only
hate and with hate there is nothing but pain and agony.
But where there is love there
is also hate and where there is hate there is also love.
The need to be loved by someone
is something that is very hurt full.
Laying in a bed where
there use to be two and now there is only one.
I reach my hand out to only
find a empty pillow by my side.
There is no one there to
share my dreams with when I wake in the morning.
There is no one there to
talk to when I have a nightmare and wake up screaming.
There is no one there to
wrap their hands around me and hold me tight and tell me it was only a
nightmare and it will be all right.
How the days go slow when
there is no one there to help fill your time with love.
I use to sit and wait and
think of the person I was in love with and how the day use to go by slow
until the person was with me once again.
Now that there is no one
there the days even go by slower then before.
I wish I could find the words
that would help express the way I feel about you.
The only thing I can come
up with is I love you.
But the are so small little
words compared to how I really feel inside for you.
I wish there were some other
way to let you know how much I care.
The words I love you just
seem to get used up so much that people forget that the little 3 words
I love you is really something big great and most power full words that
there are in this world.
The words I love you people
use to get what they want .
they go around breaking hearts
and crushing dreams.
What do they know about love?
If I could I would pick all the roses in the world and put a ribbon of
gold around them and lay them at your feet.
If I could I would take all
the stars out of the sky and give them to you.
But if I could do that then
no one else would be able to see the roses and the would not have any stars
to light the dark midnight sky.
The only thing I have to
offer is my love and my heart.
I love you so much that I
give my heart to you now that you have 2 and I have none please be tender
with my heart don't let it break for if it does.
I would not be able to find
the tears to cry because you have all of my heart.
So there for I have no more
feelings to express.
But if I don't have any feelings
to express then how am I to tell you and show you how much I love you?
So I take back my heart and
I will give you a piece of my heart the piece that holds all the love I
have for yours please be kind and be care full and don't lose my love.
Because I don't know what
I would do without you.
Because without you there
is just no me. So with these words that I write to you.
I promise to always love
you if you do the same.
I will always be there for
you if you do the same
I will be kind caring sweet
and honest with this promise I give myself to you with everything I am
and everything I have I just have got to tell you my sweet love.
I LOVE YOU AND ONLY YOU FROM
NOW UNTIL THE END OF TIME AND EVEN AFTER THAT I WILL LOVE YOU FROM THE
HEAVENS AND BEYOND.

When
I was little my mommie always took care of me.
When
I fell my mommie picked me up with a gentle touch.
She
kissed my boo boo and I felt better.
When
I got scared at night, she would come in my room, and stay with me all
through the night.
Now
that Iam grown, and moved away .
I miss
my mommie in a very special way.
I will
always remember the days she picked me up with a gentle touch.
Mommie
would be so proud of me.
For
now I am a mommie, and without her guidance what would I do.
When
my daughter or son feels like I did when I was young.
I shall
do what my mommie did for me.
When
they get scared I will always be there for them also.
And
when my child gets grown, and moves away I will know how my mommie felt.
I will
feel the sadness and pain of not having my child with me.
But
I shall also be proud of whom they have become, for I know my mommie is
so proud of me.
A day
shall not pass without me thinking of them as my mommie does me.
I shall
see them as my little ones for that is what they shall alway's be.
But
I shall also see them as the person they are, and love them always
As
my mommie does me.

One night you didn't say goodbye. You
didn't walk out that door.
And you didn't get in that
car.On that night someone took your love away from me.
Please say it did not happen,
for my heart could not take the pain of loosing your love.
Please please tell me I was
only dreaming my love.
For without your love I will
never have life or love again ,for you are my life and my love .
Please come back my darling
so that I may breathe again.
God please return him to
me .Please don't leave me in this world without his love.
I need to see his smile again
and feel his warm caresses, for I shall surly die without him.
God if you cannot return
him then please take me also,do not leave me alone without his love in
this world.
