Some Thoughts on Life

By W. L. Kite

Old Poets Never Die, They Just Fade Into The Paper Like The Ink They Pen Their Lines With.

Never again seems to be less time than one would think.

The spark of love can start a fire that no one can ever put out.

Some learn the hard way, and some never learn at all.

There are those who fear to awake from their dreams, while others fear to dream.

It is hard at times to see from the outside the fire that burns within.

Young is what we all were once, old is what we get for staying alive so long.

To be young is good, to be old yet feel young is better, for the knowing of life.

The truth is not always bad, just most of the time.

Everyone may know what happened, but only you know why.

The young will see a world that the old will not, just as the old have seen a world the young cannot remember.

No one knows more sorrow than one who sees the pain of others.

The hardest things to say are always the ones that need said the most.

One can tell time, but no one can keep time, for it stands still for no one.

Not all that ends well started out that way.

If the light is eternal, then why was the darkness here first.

To humans time has great value, to time humans have very little.

Death can be found anywhere there is life.

It is never too late to mess up a good thing.

Some bodies in motion do not require a degree in Astronomy
to be appreciated, only reasonable eye sight.

If you get burned twice by the same fire, maybe it is not the fire that is to blame.

And what would have ever become of the wheel, if it were not
for the axle?

If the sign says Dead End Ahead, maybe you should at least
slow down.

There are doors in life that open outward, and there are doors
that open inward.

Love can consume you completely, and you will smile all the way to the end.

For each of us it is only a matter of time before time begins to
matter.

Blame is one thing no one seems to want their fair share of.

There are things that can live only as long as someone
believes in them.

The sweetest of things can leave a bitter taste.

How sad it is that if you care about no one but yourself, you
are seen as normal, but if you openly show that you care
about others, you are viewed with suspicion.

A chance is worth nothing unless it is taken.

It hurts to see someone you like change into someone you do
not like very much.

Old Dogs may not run as fast as they once did, but at least
they know where they are running to.

If you believe you could face death, then you surely can face
life.

Eyes of ice can sometimes hide a flaming heart.

There are things you just can't run away from, for they are in
your heart, and they always will be.

There are those you worry about, you shouldn't, but you do.

If you get a second chance, take it, for third ones come very
rarely.

To a writer words are the body, and ink is the blood.

Within a smile is all the joy of life, and within a tear all the
sorrow of the world.

Only the best of friends share their fears.

Today is just one more stop on your way to the rest of your
life.

We all need a little time alone now, and then, just to listen to
the sound of our own thoughts.

It may be late in the game, but at least the game isn't over yet.

How can saying what you feel in your heart be wrong?

If you care about someone, tell them now, while there is still
time.

Have no fear of where your heart may take you, for there is
where you need to be.

To love unconditionally, is something most cannot do.

If you care no more, you are no more, and if you never cared,
you never were.

Fear not to cry, when tears are the order of the day.

A true friend worries about you, even when you do not.

Within each of us, is the power to find what we seek.

When you give up your dreams, you are the only one who
loses anything.

The door to a part of your life is never really closed as long as you can still remember what was on the other side.

The stronger one becomes, the less one needs to hide their
weaknesses.

The cost of saying what you feel is sometimes high, for many
will hate you for being able to do what they cannot.

It is pointless to lie to someone who would not believe you if
you told them the truth.

We all age with the passage of time, but we do not all grow old.

It is all very well to remember the past, but do not dwell on it
too long. For when all is said, and done, it is the future where you belong.

Sometimes the truth will find you, even when you have hidden
well.

If it goes without saying, then it need not be talked about.

To a mad man, reason is an abstract thought.

The truth is sometimes so transparent, that even when it is
right in front of us, we do not see it.

The heart sees colors that the eyes cannot, like the color of
sadness, the color of torment, and the color of love.

One need not be a fool, to be foolish.

That people just do not understand is a shame, for much is
lost to them because of it.

Many who think they know, do not, and then there are those
who know, but never tell.

We are all subject to recall at anytime.

The lie was invented by Man, for in Nature it does not exist.

Knowing when you need to do something is important,
knowing when you need to stop doing something is even
more important.

Only if the world were truly flat, would all things really be
on the level.

You will never know what your limits are, if you are never
 pushed to them.

A real Man knows when he has lost, and he admits it.

The danger in knowing too little is that you will fear too much,
and the danger in knowing too much is that you will fear even
more.

I have written somewhere around 1,000 of these little thoughts, and I am still writing them every day. If you would like to see more of them let me know, and I will be glad to E-mail some others to you.
